SIMONE PARODO
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Born in Italy and based in Berlin, Germany, I am a self-taught artist whose work explores the depths of human emotion and perception. My primary focus is on human figures, particularly portraits, which I reinterpret through a blend of abstraction and subjective perspectives using a personal artistic vocabulary.
PURPOSE AND TECHNIQUE
Using acrylic paints and spray techniques, I work on canvas with a multitude of other tools, such as tape, brushed, spatulas, pens and my hands. Through the interplay of texture, geometry, and vivid contrasts, my process seeks to uncover the feelings and emotions hidden beneath the first glance. Each piece is a dialogue between reality and abstraction, transforming common views into a subjective experience.
My canvases often feature human subjects, yet my approach extends beyond superficial representation. I utilize these figures as conduits, weaving contemporary humanitarian themes and reflections. My intention is not to depict mere physicality but to confront viewers with thought-provoking perspectives and introspection.
